Jebsen & Jessen Board Announcements
It is with a deep sense of gratitude for Alex Chan’s exceptional support and contributions that we announce his retirement from the Jebsen & Jessen board of directors at the end of this year. Mr Chan served the group as a member of the executive board from November 2011 until August 2017, double-hatting as Group HR Director for some of this period, and as a non-executive board director since then. We salute a very dear colleague whose vast leadership experience, resourcefulness, analytical mind and calm, steady authority contributed tremendously to the Group during his tenure in both his executive and advisory roles.
Looking ahead, I am thrilled to announce the appointment of three new members to the board of directors, two of whom will be joining on January 1 and one on November 1 next year.
Our very own Mr Chui Tau Siong has graciously agreed to the appointment as board director on January 1 2025, a position he will hold in addition to his existing executive roles as CEO of the packaging business unit and president director of our joint-venture PT Indo Tirta Abadi. With his vast experience as the longest-serving colleague in Jebsen & Jessen and with his sharp mind, pragmatic leadership style and humble demeanour, Mr Chui will play an important role in guiding the executive board as we embark on our next strategic chapter.
Ms Euleen Goh, likewise appointed on January 1 2025, will be our first external board director since Mr Manu Bhaskaran concluded his second three-year term in June 2020. A chartered accountant by training and with a career as one of Singapore’s leading banking executives, Ms Goh has since her retirement held board positions in some of the largest and most illustrious corporations and non-profit institutions in Singapore. This included her tenure from 2016 until July 2024 as chair of aviation solutions group SATS Ltd, during which she spearheaded the group’s acquisition of Worldwide Flight Services. SATS’ revenue and global footprint doubled under Ms Goh’s chairmanship and it is now the largest air cargo handler in the world. We are extremely fortunate to be able to draw on the guidance and wisdom of a person of Ms Goh’s calibre.

Starting on November 1 2025, Ms Elaine Yew will become the seventh member of Jebsen & Jessen Group’s board and our second external director. Ms Yew, who joined leading organisational consulting and leadership advisory Egon Zehnder almost 25 years ago, has held a number of senior positions in the firm including as a global executive committee member for eight years. She is currently a senior partner and global head of the family business and family office practice. Having provided advice and coaching during several important leadership transitions in Jebsen & Jessen, Ms Yew is acutely familiar with our corporate culture.

We will be preparing induction sessions for our new directors in tandem with their respective joining dates. With the group’s Advance & Build strategy concluding in the coming months, Per Magnusson and I are very excited to be able to draw on the remarkable insights and acumen of our new board directors as we turn our attention to the next strategic phase.
Please join me in bidding a grateful farewell to Alex Chan and a warm welcome to our three new directors as they join Jebsen & Jessen at this important juncture.
Best regards,
J. Heinrich Jessen, Chairman
